Health is a state of complete physical, mental, social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Health comes as the priority area of intervention for DOPASI Foundation. To achieve this we intend to undertake, maintain, manage and otherwise assist in projects, plans, schemes and pilot programs for the prevention, treatment, cure and elimination of diseases and sickness of all kinds ensuring access to affordable primary health care, addressing the changing health seeking behaviours and promoting treatments which helps in early diagnoses of the diseases so as to reduce the overall morality rate in Pakistan. Ensure access to reproductive health care services by implementing plans to provide health coverage, including financial risk protection, access to quality essential health care services and access to safe, effective and good quality medicines. To strengthen the implementation of World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control in Pakistan. To work on ending the epidemics of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (Commonly known as AIDS), Tuberculosis(commonly known as TB), Malaria and other life threatening and communicabl diseases. Communities depend on health systems. Strong health systems prevent, detect and respond to deadly diseases, thereby preventing outbreaks from becoming epidemics promote the well-being of people and lives. DOPASI is thus committed to strengthen health systems and building capacity of health staff at all levels. All this falls under DOPASI’s mandate.
